Recruitment

The Key West Fire Department accepts applications year round. We accept new recruits on an as needed basis and our membership averages 30 firefighters. Typically we review the applications, call for interviews, and place new recruits on in the Spring. We are looking for people who would like to be part of our team. If you would like to meet new people and help out in your community then volunteer today.

Qualifications:

18 years or older

Must obtain Fire fighter 1 status with in 3 years (paid for by the department)

Must obtain EMT-B status within 3 years (paid for by the department)
