| Tonight we trained with our new SCBA focusing on teamwork and communication in low visibility conditions. Teams had to complete a series of tasks with glad press 'n' seal covering their face piece, their dominant hand disabled, and wearing full gear and SCBA. Teams made a box crib together, followed a RIT line, set off and cleared each others PASS devices, fine motor skills practiced by placing washers and a nut on a bolt, low clearance maneuvering, connecting a 3" hose line (one-handed and without vision), and searching a structure following the rule of rights and ending with calling a mayday. Check out the pictures and videos of Matt Fetzer and Ben Pancratz going through the end of the drill. |
